Business overview
Anheuser-Busch InBev came together in 2016 when Anheuser-Busch and InBev merged, making one of the largest brewing companies on earth. In India it works through its subsidiary SabMiller India. The beers are ones you will recognise from any decent bar fridge. Haywards 5000, Royal Challenge, Knock Out and Foster's, pushed through a distribution network that reaches most of the country and brewed at plants scattered across it. Money has kept going in. Breweries modernised, supply chain tightened, distribution widened. In a beer market this competitive, standing still is the same thing as going backwards. Quality control is what the company talks about most, brewing to international standards with continual investment in equipment and technology. There is community work alongside it. Beer is a business where consistency is the product, a drinker who gets one bad bottle remembers it for years.

Every ratio here is worked out from the reported figures in the Financials tab, and valuation multiples from the indicative price in the header. Nothing is a stored value. A ratio the filings cannot support (a line not reported, or a zero or negative base) is left out or shown as —, never as a misleading number. Balance-sheet ratios use year-end figures.
