Business overview
There is a thing that happens when Chennai Super Kings play away. The stadium turns yellow anyway. Not a corner of it either, most of it, in cities with no particular reason to care. The company behind the team is Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited, CSKCL, incorporated on 19 December 2014 as a subsidiary of India Cements Limited. It handles the commercial side, the operations and the brand, which is a very dry way to describe something people are extremely emotional about. The team itself goes back further, to 2008 and the first IPL season. Home is the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium at Chepauk, and visiting sides have never much enjoyed the trip. The record is genuinely good, one of the best win percentages in the tournament and several titles. But plenty of teams win things. Very few get adopted by strangers three states away.

Revenue, EBITDA and PAT
₹ crore. A year with no reported figure is left out rather than drawn as zero.
- Revenue
- EBITDA

Every ratio here is worked out from the reported figures in the Financials tab, and valuation multiples from the indicative price in the header. Nothing is a stored value. A ratio the filings cannot support (a line not reported, or a zero or negative base) is left out or shown as —, never as a misleading number. Balance-sheet ratios use year-end figures.
